Metanoia
Metanoia was my first publication, an anti-psychiatry fanzine inspired by the experience working as an art teacher in a mental health institution and a penitentiary in 2011. Metanoia consists of five issues focused on madness, marginality, institutional abuse, stigma, and mind control. Along with my writings and drawings, Metanoia featured artwork from psychiatric patients, prisoners, children and other creators outside the cultural mainstream.
La Llaga (The Wound)
My next editorial project was La Llaga (“The Wound”), a magazine created in 2018 as a platform for trully visceral art. Transgressive illustrators, collage artists, poets and writers from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, the United States, and Spain contributed their work. Four issues were published. There were no forbidden subjects, no taboos. La Llaga became a collective response to all forms of censorship, making no distinction between conservatives or liberals.
